Post-Weld Alignment

Rake, trail, and steering head angles calculated to exact center-of-gravity targets before metal cutting.

Complete internal argon purging with multi-pass TIG root and cover layers to prevent root oxidation.

Thermal stress relief followed by dial-indicator coordinate measuring verification on all pivot axes.

Rotary tube notching achieving zero-gap fit-up, securely clamped in rigid ground-steel frame jigs.

Material Integrity

4130 chromoly versus mild steel

Mild steel yields prematurely under severe trail-braking forces, inducing chassis weave through high-speed apexes. We utilize seamless 4130 normalized chromoly tubing to maximize torsional rigidity while maintaining controlled flex characteristics.

Every joint is held in rigid fixtures during welding to counteract thermal distortion, ensuring the steering head and swingarm pivot maintain absolute co-axial alignment under heavy load.
